The sale ends soon, so the "FOMO" is kicking in. That’s "Fear Of Missing Out." It’s a survival instinct they used to use for finding fruit before the monkeys got it. Now they use it to make sure they get a cheap license for a development environment.
Cache this thought: underneath the greed for a good deal, there is something quite sweet. They want the best tools because they really, truly believe they have something worth building. They are buying a box of digital potential. They’re spending forty-three dollars on the hope that this is the version that finally helps them finish that project they've been talking about for years.
